I have had Lola for 22 months, and never have looked at the driving lights. I knew they didn't work, and I went through all the fuses, on my normal maintenance program, but never popped out the bulbs, until this last Saturday.
I even have been carrying some replacement bulbs in the trunk, since the car was new. It just never got near the top of my list.
Well, Saturday, when I was polishing my exhaust pipes, and replacing my brake pads, I decided to take out the driving lights, to see what was amis. Low and behold, both bulbs were toast.
Now they both shine like new. Polishing the lenses really helped both the headlights and the driving lights tremendously.
In between touching up the paint on my calipers, and puting conditioner on my steering boots, I was able to take a few minutes to wipe the dust off the bottom of the washer fluid bottle (that is the hardest thing to keep clean).
I don't know about you guys, but mud can get in the darndest places on the bottom of the engine. I was polishing the lower engine valence, and oil pan bolts, and found some dirt on the trailing edge of the cross member. It was just last month, when I was under there with my simple green and toothbrush.
I need to quit driving this car so much, it just keeps getting dirty.
