He got it about a week and a half ago. At first he was in the market for a Civic or Prelude, but once he felt the 14 pounds of boost ( :ylsuper ), he never looked back. And it ain't to shabby of a ride either...

1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo*Upgraded CT26 turbo by Turbonetics (clip, trim etc.)*Apexi intake*Blitz Nur-Spec exhuast*Manual boost controller (off clubmr2.com)*FCD*Spal intercooler fan*NGK plugs/wires*Greddy turbo timer*Autometer boost gauge/a-pillar*Panasonic head-unit*Panasonic 6-disc cd changer*Racing-Hart CP-035 17"*Cross drilled/slotted rotors*KVR pads*Stanless steel lines*Full Tom's body kit*94+ taillights

All for $6350!!!!!

Currently, it's running 14 psi and going strong with 115,xxx miles. Still, the damn bastard needs to let me drive it!!! :D

Oh, and here's the pics....

Also, he wants some questions answered by all you smart people...-Estimated horsepower?-Change the color of the rims? (He's thinking of powdercoating them)-What do you think of it?

Nice. I would perdonally change the rims to gunmetal or white...maybe black. I was SOOOOOOOO close to a black MR2. Rebuilt motor. AWWWWW man it was awesome. HAd a big *** dent in the rear but the title was clean. My 240 was no better and we were gonan trade. MK2 owns me....

Yeah, his car does have a few dents. None really significant that couldn't easily be popped out. But yeah, he's leaning more towards a gunmetal color for his rims. We have a shop in town that can do all four wheels for $175. You guys think thats too cheap/expensive?

Only in 88 and 89 was it supercharged... and it was an I-4, not a V6.And yeah, it is turbo... ;)

Did a little searching, and swapping a V6 into one is like an RB25 or 26 into a 240. Joe Vick seems to be the guy when it comes to MR2's

Well, I'm sure you can swap a V6 into a MR2. I just thought you were talking about engines that came from the factory... which the V6 isn't.

Oh, I was wrong at first. I thought you could get one, but after searching I realized I was wrong.

I'm pretty sure some rich guy figured out how to put one in the spare tire compartment up front. Or something like that...

that kinda defeats the purpose of the car though, goes from being well balanced to totally unbalanced.

one of the rice mags did a V6 swap from a Solara or camry or something. it was a pretty nice swap, rather straight foward with little mods.

I don't much see the purpose, the car already has a good motor going for it, might as well keep it.

why must they be so small inside...

WOW. That is BEAUTIFUL. If I couldnt' have my 240, a mr2 is what I would want. Just amazing amazing cars. I would take a turbo or NA, woudn't really care. They are so light that the NA's will still move. Ahhh I want one...

Well the V6 has 1/3 more displacement and actually weighs about the same. (2.0 iron block vs 3.0 alum) And the V6 actually is a better fit than the 4. Hard to believe but it's true.

I'd keep the rims the same color, and power should be close to 275 at the wheels, maybe more.

I've seen BIG gains on almost the excact same setup with a VPC and a Buddy Club ECU. He should check those out. Unless he's got other management going on, he's probably not running perfect A/F ratios

Wow. 275 rear wheel horsepower?!? Damn, I didn't think it was that fast! :ylsuper But, yeah. He was actually thinking of getting some sort of engine management and then getting it all dyno-tuned. I'll have to tell him about the Buddy Club ECU!;)

Hang on I'll go get one of my Turbo mag's that did a thing on it.

edit-

Damn, I was way off! This guy had a CT26, Apexi intake, Fujitsubo exhaust, and Blitz SBC DC. At 14 psi he banged out 237.7 hp, and was running very rich. When he plugged in the Buddy Club ECU his peak power didn't increase, but he made 21.7 hp and 38.8 hp more at 3500 rpm on same boost as before. Plus A/F was around 11.5/1.

And on the VPC and GCC, they gained about 20 hp on only 6 psi.

Yes, check those things out.

Yeah, I was thinking that could possibly be flywheel horsepower, but not rear-wheel horsepower. So I'm guessing around 240 rwhp horsepower on my brother's ride. Seem like a good guess?

Also, was the guy running a stock or modded CT26 turbo?

Im lovin that mr2, clean as helll.....some gunmetal rims would set it off imo

Id say 240-250 horsepower to the wheels sounds about right
