Sorry to call you out like this, but I have a dumb question for ya...

How did you get the carpet off the door panels, and will it be clean underneath?

By the way, I <3 Mr. Bean (the real one)

Actually, if you do it right, all that will be left is vinyl.

edit: Those little holes are to be expected. If you would have asked, I would have told ya.

I like my cloth interior. The tweed is quite nasty though. Looks good

heh, looks like you got your answer already!

I forgot about the little holes. I still like the look better than the carpet. I guess you could disguise it by coloring the interior of the holes with a sharpie so everything's black.

Now I'm trying to remove the carpeting on the glove compartment, and it's not so easy. The entire thing is glued down, and nothing I've tried gets rid of the glue... arrg. I'm just gonna sand it down I guess.

just rip it all out and go to bare metal.Im sure if you got all the plastic liner crap out and took out your back seat and everything else you could drop alot of weight

Heh, I did that for about 2 weeks while running wires for my alarm and installing new rear seats. At one point I think I had all the plastic trim out as well as the rear and passenger seats.

It was definitely fun. I could hear my exhaust better, and the cabin lit up when I hit the brakes cuz I had all the trunk trim out as well... but since this is my daily driver and I do occasionally have passengers in the back, I can't ditch the rear seats for good. In all i think the pile of stuff I took out was prolly 50-75 lbs. Of course, the easiest way to lose about 30 pounds is to ditch your spare!
