That was a stupid response. I am simply arguing against everyone saying it is some great marvel. It's a car for the fanboys.

Pound for pound it isn't very good.

Fanboys of what?Bugatti doesnt have fanboys....the EB110 is the only gatti i like and thats just cuz it looks like a supercar version of the Z32.

VW might have fanboys but that doesnt automatically make them Bugatti fanboysSo the Veyron is a car for fanboys of what exactly?

I do agree with this though. The SSC Aero is a V8 and has 1 supercharger half the cylinders and it makes similar HP and goes faster.

And the CCR has simliar performance and is also a V8.So 16 cylinder 4 turbos and only 1000HP?....yeah they could have done better.

Fanboys because they believe the words of Jeremy Clarkson to be the words of Jesus Christ.

It's just a car of numbers, and numbers make ignoramuses (that's actually a word?) want them despite not know what the numbers mean. It sounds really cool.

The video of the crash is another perfect example, he thought it was a Lamborghini and it was his dream car. He knew nothing about it, it just looked cool to him and wanted it because Lamborghini has a desirable reputation. But it wasn't one...

Dude, my IQ is low enough.I dont want it reaching profound levels....but i fear if i try dissecting what you are/were trying to say in that post i might actually achieve Profound Retardation.Could you please, rephrase that in a way thats easier to understand for people with low IQs?Cuz as is, i dont see an answer to the question i asked earlier.

Ill rephrase my question and turn it into a fill in the blank sorta thing so i can get a clear concise answer and walk away educated.

The Bugatti Veyron is a car that was designed and engineered for Fanboys of _____________________^Fill in the blank in as few words as possible, and ill be happy.

It wasn't that complex of a response. People like it because they feel as though they should. Fads and styles, bandwagons... That is what the fanboys love; what everybody else does.

You could have taken almost any word that isn't "the" in my response and filled the blank with it.

But I'll keep it Kindergarten for you and just fill the blank with "cars". You win!

So you think people like the Veyron simple because other people like it?Not because they genuinely like the car.

Are you sure you are not just being a non-conformist. Disliking the Veyron simply because so many people like it.Im sure there are some Veyron lovers who love it simply because person A loves it. But i bet there are more who like it because it looks frikkin sexy, and has performance to match its exotic looks.

I want that paint job on my Veyron!!!!

Um you guys do realize that while yes a 16.4L "only" makes 1000hp but it still has to pass emissions standards of the US?

I know 300hp SR guys who can't pass emissions This is something that should be taken into consideration.

Only 1000hp?
Cause and effect.

Umm...it's not so much that it can't make more HP.

The development of the car was delayed 2yrs because they couldn't get a reliable enough transmission to handle all the power. Also, 10 radiators...you've gotta get rid of the 1000hp worth of heat somehow.

So sure, they could make more power, but they'd have to get a new transmission and more radiators (where would they put them?)

Remember, everything is a compromise.

Bullcrap. You could claim that about anything. Since when is there some universal barrier against building a decent transmission?

I would like to correct my post earlier. It is 8 liters and I had misread the stats on it.

Still, the whole transmission thing is stupid. They could have used a manual transmission like Koenigsegg did on most CC models.
