Hi everyone! My name is Sam and i've got a 94' GS300. I bought the car with the intention of putting double its value back into it to make it my dream car. I've always loved the 1st Gen. GS's and to finally have the VIP GS I wanted is great. The turbocharged 2JZ just makes it all the sweeter.

But what does that have to do with infiniti?

Well. 2 Problems:

Problem #1. Its going to take at least 2 months to complete my car, thats 2 months without transportation UNLESS I buy a new car.

Problem #2. I really, really, REALLY like the M45 and i'd love to get one to not only drive until my GS is ready, but to also turn into a VIP car as well. Another problem that arises is that there really isn't allot of parts or information about the M45 readily available, hell there isn't even a deticated M45 forum!

I was hoping you guys could answer my questions:

1. Is there a turbocharger or supercharger for this car? maybe stillen or someone makes one?

2. Where can I get this grill

3. How high is the insurance on these?

Thanks!:smoker

IVXX, welcome to the forum.

1.) Yes, Keuliyan has made one for the F50 Q45 that should fit. Whether these work long term or not has not been established.

2.) I think you answered your own question. It is probably best obtained directly from Japan.

3.) Depends on who you are and where you are.

Might do a search on 2.) and 3.) for more information. First generation GS was a Giugiaro inspired design.

Insurance on my M45 runs $1214 a year from State Farm. In San Jose, CA. I get multi-car and long-term customer discounts. Otherwise, it would be about 40% higher ... according to the flyers they send me.

I checked my insurance vs my Q45.

The new car discount almost made the insurance between a 1994Q and a 2003 M45 full coverage a wash.

Fred....:)

While the M45 is not a huge seller like that G35, members of enthusiaists boards tend to scoop 'em up much more, than the general public. We have a small but enthusisistic group of M45 owners on here.

This reflects well on the automobile.

Fred..:)

PS: Minor remark on the M45: One of the very few production cars that have a tranny cooler standard, this reflects Infiniti's expectation that it will be driven by enthusiasts.

I envy you guys. I pay $2040/yr LIABILITY on just the 92 Q45.

A supercharged M45 was on sale on eBay a few months ago. Theoretically it puts out about 450hp? Cant confirm that.

Ouch! Age and location and other factors (like multi-car discounts) do make a significant difference, I suppose!

Jason B posted news about a supercharger that increased hp to 440. Can't seem to find it now though. Might wanna do a search.
