ive been looking around, and originally i was going to try to do a ca swap, but due to circumstances ( i just melted my engine) ive decided to go KA-t....

i was going to just ride the engine as i made money to pay for the CA or REDTOP, but it woudlnt make sense for me to swap an engine, then swap again. and i dont have the funds to go straight CA or SR..

so i am not even sure where i would have to begin or how to research what im doing.. i have no idea on the fundimentals or basics.

-im just wondering what parts am i going to need for the basics of turbo ing my engine.

-what price a m i looking at?- waht are some important thigns to note/watch out for/ look into.

thanks alot people. this is my first vehicle also

also can be reached at ouch617@aol or on aim if u wanna contact me directly

thanks

All of you questions can be answered by using the search button on the top right hand side of the screen. Basically my setup cost me 1800 dollars, but I also did the labor myself. I am running harder that an SR20 for less money that an engine swap. Do the research and you'll see "KA-T is the way to BE!"

What do you plan to spend? And what kind of power are you looking at? Just your basic a few extra hp to make the car more peppy, or you want to run 12s?

well i suggest you shouldnt start turboing yet because you seemed a little confused. which isnt a bad thing all of us start some where, even the pros. even though this is a KA-T forum, the only questions you ask do not only have to "what parts do i need to turbo my KA" you should ask about things on the basics of turbo, how does it work, any issues or concerns you and your KA should worry about. you can search around websites or buy books and such.....research first and when you're full of knowledge than get start looking what to buy and you'll feel much more confident

good luck to you and dont worry about asking "stupid" questions, as long as you get the right information, your good to go

Tell us your goals and we'll tell how to get there.250rwhp? or 450rwhp? Bunch of variables going on and we need to know your goals.Planned just for straight drag or used on road course or drifting etc.
