Lain, this thread isn't designed to create a big discussion or argument. I just wanted to reply to your rationalization of street racing in alleys and on freeways in the other thread. That thread was locked before I could reply.

We both live in southern California, one of the homeless people capitals of the country. You must know that an awful lot of those homeless people are sleeping in alleys and "dumpster diving" in those alleys.

As for the freeways, you never know when you are going to come up on a disabled car or an accident sitting in traffic lanes, and you're not going to have time to react if you're racing after dark.

Again, if you think the laws are unfair or unjust, please work to change them.

If you must race, please go to the various tracks around southern California that offer you the opportunity to engage in street racing with a clean and clear track. Many of them offer the opportunity to engage in "grudge match" racing where you get to pick your opponent. An article covered by MSNBC earlier this year indicated a street racer has upwards of 250 opportunities to legally street race at local tracks around here each year.

Look into joining the International Brotherhood of Street Racers and the NHRA street legal programs and become part of the solution, not the problem.

I think most of us here would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for your reply, but this thread is against forum rules so I must lock this as well. You are not allowed to make a thread about another thread being locked. But this information is useful so I will not delete the thread. Email me or EV (Geoff) for any questions/concerns. Thanks.
