hey just bought 96 240 need advice

hey, i too am new to drifting scene , alot of you guys know your sh*t so for starters, i just bought my 96 240sx three days ago in san diego and drove it all the way back to AZ and now im lookin at what i want to put on it . i want to keep the stock KA24det engine but what kind of mods can i throw on just for starters im lookin at cold air intake then exhaust but im not sure after that ?

anyone got any suggestions for what type of cold air intake and exhaust kits to get, im just lookin to add HP to my ride while takin care of the basics but im F ing lost at the moment.

Exhaust: I would probably go with Apexi, BRM, HKS one of the recognized brands, no ebay cheap ****. Intake: Injen is the best as far as intakes for the 240 go. Other mods that you'll probably want to add are some fuel upgrades, 5-speed swap if it isn't already a standard, header, clutch, flywheel, lsd.

Hey Marc, I hope the car is holding up well!

When I was looking at upgrades for intake and exhaust, the Apex'i Dual N1s and AEM or Injen intake were the ones that stood out. The car could probably stand to have a new clutch installed sometime as well. There are plenty of decent and cheap options out there in that respect. Do a search in 240 general chat and you'll probably come up with more info than you could possibly want!

definately suspension components and a LSD. that should do you fine for drifting. i'd go for the Tein coil overs and some sways and a cusco or kaaz diff. but all that is day dream for me because its around 2000 for all that.

thanks man for the info on the lsd and suspention im lookin into it but in the meantime ill take care of the basics for now, drifting my car was something i initialy want to do but for now im just lookin into upgrades so that ill have a very reliable and safe means of transportation while later on having fun with it .
