Hey it dont work!!!!

Hey guys my cig lighter in my car doesent work I was wondering if you might have any idea why is it just old age or is there something i can replace to make it work since there isent any rust in it or anything thx :help

check the fuse, which is most likely it. if thats not the problem, take the dash apart and make sure the plug is connected. if thats still not it, use a VMM to check for power at the end of the plug. if you dont have power rewire from a constant 12v source wire (if you want to be able to use it with the car off) or a switched 12v wire (powered only when the car is switched on). if you do have power, buy a new cig lighter.

mine doesn't work either. i think it may be missing a wire because there is only one connected to it (pretty sure its the hot one), is that why?

there should be 2 wires Pickalini. Power and ground...i think they were orange and black on there. i'd have to go look.

dont take your dash apart if you have an s13.... cause its in the center console.

Thx everyone it ended up being the fuse also question my audio fuse is missing but every thing works fine does anyone have any idea what the audio fuse works for..........?????????
