Alright.I wanted aftermarket exhaust for my s14.so I got HKS Hi-power exhaust.and...it sounds good, but its really not loud at all,you can barely hear it at idle...

So before I go out and buy another exhaust system,I wanted to know if there was any way to make it louder??My thoughts were to delete the canister before the muffler.know what im talkin about? If I had a straight pipe welded in to replace the canister would that make it louder??

Run no exhaust. Open Headers. Then you'll experience loud.

lol. wow dude. yes, if you run a straight pipe to a muffler it will be louder and most likely sound farty.

if you want your car to be loud and sound good.... get more power, then just have a custom welded 3" straight pipe from the headers back. that's how it's done, yo!

or, you could be boso and scrape your exhaust pipes on freeway overpasses. now that's legit.

Be like VR and run a straight pipe!

But really, why would you want your car to be any louder? Especially if it's just stock. Louder just draws more attention to yourself. And it's kind of pointless if your car makes all this noise, but makes no power.

I personally think the Hi-Power sounds great but to each his own I guess.

Please don't make your car sound like a riced-out mosquito! Those cars with loud mufflers are annoying and all I can do when I hear one is shake my head.

If you want loud, (don't know why) but if you do, try and get your hands on an apex'i dunk exhuast, things retarded loud and has massive piping...or just get some custom piping made, get rid of your cat (assuming you have one) get a test pipe and boom....loud....if not run open headers...that should be loud enough for ya.

Trade you my n1 duals with holes in it, its stupid loud.

Just think of the holes as less weight and more sound.
