Depends on the condition of the particular motor, but most stock engines 4 to 8 stress points yield about 100hp per cylinder. Red tops are as old as 22 years old. So to more than double the RWHP for the factor should require some work to play it safe (oil pump, timing set, ARP rods bolts and other hardware).
Sure guy have done it, but at the same affect there are a lot more who stick to 250-350 RWHP.
