I'm sure some of you still remember me. I'm the guy whose 2007 G35 was stolen from the dealership.

Well just a quick story: My car was found (all f** up) but it was found. Get this, the guy who stole the car was driving it around with the same lincence plate. All it took for him to make an illigal U-turn. He got pulled over, cops ran the plates which obviously came up stolen adn the guy was arrested. I was in shock. I could have sworn that the car would be chopped up or sold somewhere far far away. The good news is that my car was already paid off by Infiniti's insurance, and I must say that even though it was a leased car I GOT A LOT OF MONEY OUT OF THEM. More then e could have expected.

In any case, the deal that i had on that car is no where to be found these days. Cause Infiniti's lease program SUCK ***.

So finally today, i got a pretty good offer, i wanted to see what you guys think:

2007 G35 Sedan Sport with Prem., Nav and Tech package. 3 year lease, 15k miles a year with only $1300 down (inception fees) for $529 month with taxes. I am not planning on buying this car out, so i really dont care if it is a 2007 or 2008. Besides there are no difference in those models. Except for 2008 the rear view camera comes standard with the navigation, but this car already has a tech package, so im covered in that department.

So let me know what you think.

Thanks

Read my previous post on leasing.

Leasing can be a very confusing and complicated transaction and there are many ways you can screwed.

Read my post print out the leasing guide & make sure you get all your questions answered by the dealer.

December is the best month to purchase a vehicle with Christmas Eve and New Years Eve the two best days of the year to obtain a new vehicle. You should also compare prices from more than one dealer. If you are married, first visit the dealer by yourself and after you get a price tell them you have to return with your wife for such a large purchase. When you return you can then argue over with her between an automatic & 6 speed. Get prices for both & leave again telling them you'll have to make up up your mind. Return again just before closing & keep negotiating till they are ready to throw you out.

Good luck

A car purchase can be fun.

I'm with joe! As happy an ending as possible.

I don't lease, so can't help you there. Have always been told it's a bad choice.

wow what's a chance for that. Anyways I've never leased in my life. You should crunch the numbers. If you feel good about it then take the deal. I would ask for free tinting or oilchange or someting. Since that is an 07 model. They have tendency to give you a deal on tint or oilchange then drop some of the money.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

thanks. I actually got a lot of free stuff out of them. Oil changes, rubber floor mats etc....As far as tinting, my friend owns a shop, he does them for free for me

The good thing about leasing; you don't have to adhere to the <4000 RPM rule for the first 1200 miles.

I wouldn't ever lease a car either, heh. My POV is why pay all that money for something you don't even own?

Of course, it's your choice and I'm not trying to steer you away from doing your thang. Just be careful.

Glad it worked out!

That works when you plan to keep the car for more than 3-4 years. The problem is that cars depreciate and people can't always get the right dollar amount later on if they want to sell. On that note, I just put my 2000 Civic Si on the market if anyone's interested.

I chose to lease this time so I wouldn't have to lock myself in with a large downpayment. There are other things that I'd rather do with my money at this current point in time.

I never worried about breaking mine in either...but then again it should've damn well been broken in by 24K miles when I bought it

I personally would never be able to do a lease. I bought my car with 24K on the OD on June 25th 2006, right now it has like 55K on it so that's 31K miles in only a year and a half I'm way out of the 15K a year mark

I know mine I got used from the dealer so that changes alot of pricing but my payments aren't any higher than what I'm seeing for the leases at least on a per month basis (total payout's more in the end though)...well slightly higher the first year due to extended warranty and GAP insurance, I was sitting at $572.63/month with a down of $1500, refi'd in September and now at $476/month, though I have another year now to pay it off lol.

Yeah, you can save if you buy it slightly used. Lease is really good if you want to change your car every 3 years or so and not going ver the mile limit. Also good for business owners.
