First off, just wanted to say hey to everybody on here, Just getting into the Nissan scene from Honda. So anyway here's my question. Im thinking of buying a 1995 Maxima with 151,000. The interior and exterior are mint and beautiful. The Clutch is brand new and the car runs great........... Except the guy says theres a hole in the flex pipe and the car is just a little loud, not to bad at all, now when I was driving it the car seemed great except it felt ALMOST like it was misfiring. Now this is really only my second 6 cylinder and I know when a 4 cylinder is misfiring. It's not even that bad and I could just be worried over nothing, but could a hole in the flexpipe cause it to slightly vibrate like a misfire? Also I think a front motor mount is bad, but thats not a big deal! Thanks Guys!

Wait...a front mount what?

As for determining the possible miss fire: just unplug each coil, and see which one doesn't change how the engine runs.

$2000 is a hell of a price. I would also run a carfax report to see if has been wrecked or salvaged.
