unbolt the turbo kit & smog it, hehehe.

Or retard timing a bit, rig it so it doesn't hit boost as early, lean out the map, and try to smog it anyway - I know a "few" ppl on this board have gotten away w/ that.

It probably won't, but that all depends on the place... there aren't many, but they are ppl on nico who are passing w/ turbo's in Cali as long as they pass the sniffer... however, that's a risk you have to decide to take or not.

The way I see it, if I don't pass, it's a free recheck & I can remove my turbo stuff then bring it back, etc. If I do pass, I just saved myself about 200-400 dollars. However, that's probably the "safest" bet tho.

Of course, you may not have the time or want to spend the time doing all that unneeded work - good luck finding a place that will smog your car no questions asked, most shops won't even consider doing that anymore unless you are really good friends w/ the owner since they can lose their business license etc from it.
