I have just been offered a KA24E and Transmission for $300. It has about 168k miles on it, supposedly has been running strong... I might be able to get the price to 250 but probably not much lower. I would be rebuilding the engine over the next year or two and possibly turbocharging it aswell.

My question to you guys is is that price a good price and should / shouldn't I take him up on the offer??

Your input is greatly needed!Should I buy the engine?

Well if you need it right now for a daily driver then yes by all means get the engine so you can live comfortably but if you wanted more hp then the de would be the better route. Also talk him down a little more i wouldnt pay that much then the Ka24de would go for that price.
