I just got done installing a timing belt on my rb20det.... and just my luck my altneator locked up and the bearings are shot..

Does a ka24de alt work and fit nice for on an rb20? i need to know right away tonight so i can get my car running and see if it runs fine after the timing belt change.

i believe they are similar but some modification needs to be done to get it to work, for more information i think the quest 110a alternator modifications are close to what is needed to get the Ka alternator to work on the rb20

sorry to hear that...hope you get it fix....anyway, i'm in the process of get timing belt change, i wonder how do you get the crank pulley off, i got the bolt off but the pulley is so hard to get off, any idea.....?

Those two small holes that are 180* apart, use a pulley puller. Thread the bolts on the puller into those two holes and back the crank pulley off.

yeah what we said.. use the specail tool.. it will take time and trust me it will piss you off trying to remove it. so be ready.
