awesome car man, and fred, is it really taht fast?, i mean, 6cyl altimas which are lighter, run 14.8 in the quarter on a good day with a 5spd, so the auto has to hit 15flat, how is the G35 faster if its heavier and has the same engine?

They both have VQ35DE engines in different tune. The rear diff of the G35 is very aggressive and responsible for much of the better performance of the G35.

hhmmm, didnt know thta, thanks man, i just figured the only advantage would be the rwd, other than that, i would figure the altima and maxima are faster, but thanks for the correction, its cool how much hp in how many different states the VQ getsALTIMA: 245HP FWDMAXIMA: o2 255hp FWD, o3 26ohp FWDI35: 26ohp (fwd or rwd, never thought about it???my bet is rwd)G35: 26o hp RWDMurano: 245hp 4wd35oZ: 287hp RWD

so, when can we see the "280" hp sedan? So far the coupe's got 20 more horses.(Im only basing the hp numbers on what i read, i dont know what the accurate number is). It'd be sweet to have the 280 hp sedan with a six speed.

Its the '04 Maxima that is 265hp.The '03 is unchanged from 02 and is 255 as is the I35.The very very early commercials for the 2k2 (back in 2k1)claimed 260hp for the Max, but those numbers were quickly revised.

Nice Machine! I originally thought about buying white and tinting the windows but went with the Bright Silver and black leather interior. Had to go with the 5AT as wife can't drive stick, - but it still rips! Had a go with a 330i the other day and dusted it from rolling 5kph to about 140kph!

Anyone know if a K & N filter adds any HP to the G35 sedan and if so, how much?

they mite, but then again it may cause more harm than good, these filters are oil based, and sometimes the oil can be sucked into ur intake, causing a malfunction to your MAFs, i wouldnt try it, not worth teh very minimal gains
