i think this is confusing him. Hes tryin to figure out how to wire up the WOT/idle switch plug which isnt needed unless hes running the Auto Trans. At least this is the way its been on every single car ive seen with a TPS and M/TCarl H wrote:there is SO much misinformation in this thread.the pigtail connector is the actual tps connection with the middle pin being signal and the outer being either power or ground depending on what side you look at the plug from.the plug on the tps body is the wot and idle switch, center pin is common to the two and wot and idle being in their respective open/closed positions.note that all nissan tpss' are different as they have a certian rotation to them for their reading, i dont remember which way the 20's tps is marked but make sure it corresponds to the throttle blade opening.
Hi Carl, I did an RB20 swap, and when the engine came in I didn't even notice that the tps pad been completely smashed in and the cables to both connections on the tps were cut. Everyone says that I can use a Q45 or KA24de tps sensor, but I have abolutely no clue how to wire it , also it came an automatic so theres 6 wires that I have plugs for but don't know where they go. do you think you could help me out hiere??? it runs like completeCarl H wrote:rb20s will not idle correctly unless the idle switch is connected...they turn into complete dogs if you dont connect it.
