Hey, in the enxt months.. May I am going to be putting in the GREDDY TURBO kit. What do you guys think of this kit so far who have tested it or own it? I plan on running at 7 PSI for awhile on the stock internals and fuel system besides the 370cc injectors that come with the kit... I plan on getting the greddy intercooler as well. Also my car is a 1995 will this e-manage thing work or am I going to have to get a SAFC-II?

greddy kit is for obd 2 equiped 240s. well the emanage is. so no it wont work on your car unless you convert it to obd 2 which would be a pita. but im not even sure if you can purchase the kit without the emanage. or you can but the kit and sell the emanage off and run a afc like you said. btw anybody know for sure if you can purchase individual parts from the kit? cause i have a mitsu 20g and it might save me some headaches to buy a mani already made.

Actually, I know of no reason why it would not work. The E-Manage is spliced into ECU wiring that controls the vital functions of airflow, timing and injectors. These are common of both the OBDII and non-OBDII S14's.

i think i remember reading that you have to buy some kind of adapter or harness or something to use the emanage in an OBDI car. On the greddy site it says 96-98 for the kit.

It should work the same so long as the sensors(MAF) and ignition controls are the same. I'm not 100% sure if the pin locations on the ECU will change at all, but if the ECU tning maps are similar or the same, it should be an easy adaptation to make.

I've seen some that have installed and successfully used an E-Manage on a S13 KA. The rotary switch settings changed, and the harness to the ECU is obviouly different, buy you only have to find the corresponding wires and splice into them the same way you would for an S14 KA. Only, the S13 KA is not a supported motor, so the MAF voltage and fuel increment values may be stepped differently depending on what rotary switch settings you use, but ultimately, it will work.

I have successfully installed an e-manage with the ignition and injector harnesses into my S13 KA. Let me dig up the info I posted on FA about it.

Edit: Here it is.

Quote »It's hard to find S13 KA E-manage wiring info, and it takes a few sources to piece everything together. Here's what I've found.

First off, your rotary switch settings will be 2 0 6. Make sure that's set properly. You won't need any other jumper or switch changes on the E-manage.

This is our ECU plug. This is a view from the rear of it, as it plugs into the ECU.

---Wire 1 (fat white) - Ignition. Intercept this for the ignition harness. The Yahoo list diagram is backwards - Ignition IN on the e-manage goes to the ECU side and Ignition OUT goes to the wire going to the engine.---Wire 16 (white) - MAF. Intercept this with the MAF wires. MAF IN on the e-manage is connected to the long side of the wire going to the engine, and MAF OUT connects to the ECU.---Wire 20 (white) - Throttle position sensor. Tap into this line, do *not* intercept it.---Wire 3 (yellow, red stripe) - RPM sensor. Again, just tap into this line. No tach if you hose this wire.---Wire 38/47 (black, white stripe) - SCREW YOU NISSAN FOR USING BLACK FOR POWER! anyways, this is the +12v line you should hit for E-manage power.---Wire 39/48 (black) - ground. Ground the E-manage here. Chassis ground is *not* sufficient, as ground potential differences will screw up sensitive stuff like MAFS and TPS.---101 - Injector 1 signal. Tap into this to monitor injector duty cycle and use additional injection maps.---110 - Injector 2 signal.---103 - Injector 3 signal.---112 - Injector 4 signal.

Make sure if you use the injector harness, you hook up all 4 wires, not just one!

---quick note - I ran the e-manage harnesses up behind the glove box and into it. The E-manage literally SNAPS into place in the bottom of the glove box, and there is even a trick little spot on the left-hand side of the glovebox to stash the wires. I have no camera, but it fits so perfectly there it's unreal. Looks pro.

That's the exact route I'm taking... except I my motor just gave in and I'm currently rebuilding the engine...

As for the e-manage working with OBD 1 cars, I don't think thats relevant... The wires you need to connect are the MAF, throttle position, RPM, the fuel injector signals, and the ignition signal for a full piggyback. Those signals are on all KA24DE engines, so I don't know why Greddy specifies that the emanage only works on obd 2 cars.

For the most part yes. Assuming the piping fits ok. But the pre-programmed E-Manage may not work well with the S13 KA ECU. You may have to re-tune it.

The kit is great for the most part. Other than retuning of the emanage, I'm very happy with the kit.

Oh just a little FYI... I have a 96 240SX coupe and the bottom of my front bumper had to be trimmed a little in order for the front mount to fit.
