i have a lil time today so i went and worked on the car a bit and i got it to turn over the first time. i know that may not be the mos exciting thing, i figured id share it though. Im happy at least, because everything major is working, the trouble shooting is easy, plus i have a pretty good idea of what it oculd be, fuel lines hooked up backward, it needs new plugs this i know, and it needs a batery, i had a brand new one but it had been so long since i started back workin on the car i gave it away, i just jumped the terminals from car to car today. ahhhh, im almost there.

thats nice, i got mine to crank in the summer after i put in a 95 engine.till i had to change the timing cause there was a slight backfire and the valves went to pieces.

am waitin to take it out and rebuild(cause a couple of other things didn't go well) it but its cold and i don't have much time..i live just right up of I-20 btw..

just check the rest and get it to fire up.

alright... ill tinker with the timing of the distributer tomorrow because i know for a fact the cam is inline with the crank... another question i have.... that little half moon on the end of the shaft for the distributer and oil pump... does that actually serve a purpose or can i hack that thing off cause that would make it 1000000000000000000 times easyer to tome

Are you talking about the crank pulley lock(or whatever it's called)?

You need that... don't forget to reinstall it.

no... the half moon on the timing shaft that goes directly into the distributer... that its got to be in that exact position or its not going in.... does that have to do something with the timing of the oil pump also???

its beyond me.... i mean... we have everything hooked up the timing is for sure right on now... the distributer.. theres no way that could be more right... great compression... just doesnt wanna start.... i dont understand it and my brother thought it could be the resistor that sits beside the drives strut tower.... and its either that, the ecu or the wiring harness... and im 90 percent sure its not the harness... i do have an extra ecu to test it with and probibly do that sometime today or thursday.... very wierd
