hey everyone i have spent some time reading through alot of post before i joined on here,i got a 1996 nissan 240sx about 2 weeks ago,im on a tight and limited budget and wondering what things i should look into modifying first,for the time being all i want it to be a sleeper nothing to flashy.thanks everyone!

A tip on wheels: 17x9 is the smallest/minimum size you should be looking at. Anything less is fail, IMO. Select your wheel offsets carefully, as they (combined with proper ride height) are the key to a car that looks fantastic and one that looks like booty.

well thanks alot guys i must say i am impressed to have several responses in such a small time,i saw the post but was unable to reply atm,i kept seeing that i had new post responses i will def. keep all this in mind and writing down all that is put forth,i really appreciate it and hopefully get some pics soon,so far shes all stock, pearlescent white i believe with the stock spoiler and rims,i was a lucky guy i think,i payed 2 grand for a under mileage car,previously owned by a old man, if any one wants more info let me know also wondering if any one is near me that i could meet up with, go to car shows and everything im wanting to learn as much as possible,i previously had a jeep wrangler and was bigger on offroading, no however im all bout speed,looks,and performance ,which isnt to different from offroading but at the same time it is im sure you all will understand,so if u have the time and want to talk more with me and help me as maybe i can help you it be kool.thanks every one! so far the only issue i have had with the car is replacing the knock sensor...fun fun...lol.. any one who wants to know more like i said let me know and i will do the best i can!once agin thanks for the quick responses!

ya man.. maintenance is first.. unless its just a track slut you like to take out on the weekends to have fun and beat up on.. what do you plan to do with the car?

Like what someone suggested before i would do all the bushings, ball joints and tie rod ends..

another thing to look out for on a 95 or 96 240sx is the rear subframe bushings.. the bushings are notorious for getting worn down.. i use to see this a lot when I was working at a shop.. its pretty easy to tell
