Hi all, just got my very own 92 vert. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself, I plan on being on here a lot lookin for info and help and what not to make her a nicer car. Its definately obvious this baby is gonna need some real love to shine haha.

And just so everyone knows, this is how it looked five minutes after it was dropped off. The first day i got it i stripped the interior, vacuumed, cleaned, washed, buffed, shined, polished everything and put everything back together with all the pieces that were scattered around the cars interior and trunk haha. i also fully washed and waxed her. So she is looking at lot better i will get newer pics up.

The car isn't running right now, this is how i got it, i don't know what happened in its passed but apparently it has had several owners and she just ended up this way due to a variety of problems. One being the radiator, so today i picked up a brand new one. Everything in the engine bay is just in pieces, i don't have the clutch fan or the shroud, the ac is completely taken out, random things are just unbolted and/or missing and stuff is just hanging around and the driver side motor mount isn't bolted up.

I got a little work ahead of me

Welcome to the convertible restoration club! Let us know what we can do to help out!

The body looks pretty straight on that car. You should have no problem getting that engine back in running order. Might I suggest doing the door swap or door piller modification... zerothread?id=90488

Keep us updated!

haha thanks everyone. Yes i guess you noticed the door panels are removed, both of the ones i got with the car are COMPLETELY trashed, so yes i plan on either doing the door swap or just swapping the panels and going texas chainsaw massacre mode on the doors .

And as far as the five-speed swap i DEFINITELY plan on doing that sometime in the near future, but unfortionately right now i don't have a job so i'm a little short on funds. Once i get a little bit more money i will get started on that, that and also i want to get everything working on the car first and get everything working the way i want it before i start modding it and what not, that also depends on the condition of the transmission in it right now. I read on here a lot of people are having troubles with their automatic trannies, and as far as i know the transmission in there could be completely grenaded haha in which case i will start on that 5 speed swap right away.

Yes the body looks to be in very good condition, the only noticable dent is on the rear passenger side but its still not that big. The only thing that sucks is after washing it i noticed that it has an aftermarket paint-job and they didn't do the best job. i mean for the most part its pretty bright, but its weird in a few spots and you can just tell they didn't really pay a lot of attention to detail.

i seem to be having a motor mount problem. on my driver side the motor mount insn't bolted up to the motor the stud is just pushed up against the bracket connected to the motor, but the stud isn't alligned with the hole. On my passenger side its all fine but apparently the last owner was doing some motor work and left more things for me to piece back together. I tried lifting the motor with a jack but it just started lifting the entire car up. Am i going to have to unbolt the passenger side motor mount then jack the motor up and reallign it? I'm used to FWD cars guys haha these RWD nissan motor mount designs are really puzzling me right now.

It's kinda difficult to align the mounts with out at least loosening up the other side. If you can, try to loosen up the passenger side nut from underneath the subframe but keep it on a few threads so it does not pop out when trying to reposition the other mount. And try not to ruin the threads on the other mount when installing it again. Don't forget that when the transmisison mount is installed, it makes it a little tougher to reposition the motor mounts.
