Hello all,
Earlier this year I bought my first 240sx, a project one of my friends lost interest in after he got into street bikes. A 1990 hatch with a full sr20det swap along with a few other goodies. Its just been sitting in storage for the most part since I purchased it, and now that I finally saved up some money to put into it and get her on the road. Problem is that it has been sitting for 3 years....with that in mind I'm going to need a full tune-up, as well as a dyno tune. It has a previous tune, but was done on a bad map. I wanted to know if anyone had suggestions for a trustworthy shop to do the work? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also, here are a few pics, kind of low res, but all I have at the moment :)

I would do the tune up myself to save money, other than that looks pretty clean. Is the tune the only reason it sat in storage for 3 years?

No, the main thing that put it out of commission was the clutch going out. And The friend I bought it off of happened to be a auto body tech, so he decided to repaint the car while he did the clutch. He ended up replacing the clutch and also installed a lightweight flywheel, but never finished painting it. Lol. Now, my plan is to have the same shop that does the tune-up, also do the dyno-tune. As I'm Kind of a noob at this sort of stuff, also it will be my daily driver so I'd rather know that everything was professionally done for my piece of mind. Also, I live in the Southwest Florida Area..probobly should have mentioned that before.

What exactly are you talking about? A tune up or a tune? You can do a tune up yourself by replacing all the fluids and filters, plugs, belts, etc. Set timing and TPS and anything else that needs to be done. Why would it need a tune what kind of management does it have? Looks pretty stock to me should just be running stock ecu I would think.

I need to have both done, the stock ecu was replaced with an AEM EMS that was tuned on a bad map.

Nice. Does it have cams or injectors or something? If not then you can always just swap in a stock ecu, otherwise, ya your gonna have to get it tuned.

with a t25 with minor bolt ons i wouldnt pay for a dyno tune

a stock ecu would be fine, if you really want a tune, i would just go with a JWT or Enthalpy rom tune..
