Hey guys and gals its me again, anyhow i was at stop and shop today and saw a s13 on a mag and i was like "good choice."  So i picked up the magazine and read it and i was amazed.  It wasnt about testing 200,000 cars but building cars that normal people could afford.  Im now a definate subscriber to this mag and wanted to share the article with you guys.  Below it shows how to attach coilovers, shocks, air intakes and also my favorite the auto->5spd conversion which is all done on a 5,000 dollar budget its a good read.  They try to make it a good starter drift car and in the end its sucessful.its a very informative magazine and i just thought i should share it for the 240 owners out there......enjoy.PS: sorry if its bad quality

NICE! I thought they stopped publishing that magazine. Also thought they'd never use a lift and only commit to jack stands as a way of catering to the readers....

I picked that up Sunday night, I was in heaven when I found it, because I'm doing everything they did, minus the drift button and wheels. The manual swap will be easier for me now, since I need pictures.

We should only sticky the cover, so it forces everyone to go out and buy it so they can stay in business and keep doing great down to earth builds.

I don't have this issue yet. I'm always on the look out since they don't publish every month, but they did a s14 to s14 swap a couple of issues back very nice

seems like a cool mag, but they seem to focus too much on the 'standard' cars (civics, 240s, integra etc etc etc)

its cool, but there've been so many other writeups/stories about the stuff.

i like the pricing thing, thats neat....except when they got a hookup price and you know dang well that 99% of the population will never get that deal

I like project car just because their write ups are amazing and very informative.

I hate project car because now more people are going to buy 240's and ruin them by drifting.

I'm gonna go buy this magazine now.

thanks for posting, ill have to pick this up. the mags alright, but it does appeal to mainstream even if it doesnt try to. last one i got was with the blue s14 project. they put a lot of money into these cars for being "projects". if the budget was a bit more realistic and had cheaper diy's i think it would gain more respect. 240's been in every mag i believe. they are hard to find, the first release i went to at least 10 stores to find it and still havent seen it. i give the mag 3 out of 5 stars def better than import tuner, or the other ricer mags.

I completely disagree. Project Car is an off-shoot of SuperStreet and therefor sucks. I don't see anything in this article pertaining to 240's that can't be obtained for free here on NICO. Plus, they got raped over the cost of those XXR wheels...

Modified as far superior to both SuperStreet and Project Car as far as content is concerned. They know the Nissan/240 scene so well, I really believe their editor is probably an active NICO / Zilvia member...

Someday, you'll look back at all the money you've spent on magazines and realize how pointless most of them are. Most of the articles get published online anyway and forums cover the rest on info you might need. Only a few mags publish fresh content regarding 240's. And that is Modified, Turbo (with their 700ha ka-t build) and Sport Compact Car (God rest their soul ). Just about all other mags are pretty redundant.

But, I guess, everyones gotta start somewhere...

Engine part is gay but the suspension section could prove useful. I've used Project car in the past for certain things on my car and they were pretty damn accurate. I'll probably pick this one up. Thanks for sharing!!!!

Magazine companies make money off selling magazines and subscriptions...

If you enjoyed the magazine and would like to continue to see magazines be published every month or so, then scanning and publishing their articles is probably the last thing that helps them continue to do so.

Its great that you can get others to read this magazine by posting their article but refrain from posting the entire thing next time, or edit your post.

Especially in times like these we don't want to compound to the already shaky industry...http://www.autoblog.com/2008/1...f-115/

Thanks

Yeah it's definately cool to see a magazine feature our car and all...but as someone already said...most of this information could have been found using the search feature on any useful forum (like nico )

Cool article nonetheless

god forbid i help our dying economy huh? i dont mind spending money right now because our economy is FKCED UP. and the 700hp KA-T build is great, for someone who knows their way around cars and has tthe $$ to pull it off!i think its good that this magazine exists because there arent many out there that focus on a budget quite like this, and including parts cost etc? just my .02!

Yeah, I guess I am a little anti-mag. Why? Because I've got this huge effing treasure chest looking box in my living room taking up much needed space filled with 8+ years of magazines like SCC, Super Street, Modified and others. After a while, you realize that all essentailly begin to cover the same material.

It was useful when I first started getting into cars back in 2002, when 240 info online was still sparse. But now, all you gotta do is just read thru the 240sxtech articles and you're set.

I still will buy a mag occasionally. But it needs to have material that is fresh, like that 300whp/380tq KA-T track s13 or 240 vq swaps, or feature cars which interest me like the new Genesis coupe, etc. They just aren't guaranteed my money cuz they have a 240 on the cover... And I'll almost certainly ignore it if it's a SR powered 240...

Yeah since KA-T's are definitely a new direction to go in.
