Hey guys just wanted to say hi. Just joined this morning but in no form new to 240sx forums. I've been at ka-t.org forums and 240sxforums.com for several months.

Just wanted to ask a quick ka-t question too. I'm looking into getting a t3/t4 hybrid (ball bearing of course). Where would you guys recommend getting this through. Also I'm really kicking myself for not saving the one i found 6 months ago whos compressor map was absolutely perfect for the ka24 (full boost at 3000 rpm's and peaked at 6100 rpms). Anyways i guess i was wondering if you guys could reccomend where a reliable source to buy from would be.

Also this is out of the blue thing i've never read about. Do the garrett GT series turbos fit a t3 flange? I doubt it but i also looked at the GT32RBB and it turned out to be perfect size for my application (daily driver, not wanting boost all the time but not lots of lag. Driving around town i usually shift before 3k rpm's so that this would be ideal)

Sorry if this post is lots of randomness.... I haven't slept at all and was just wanting to say hi.

Hey, Ive seen you on 240sxForums...

I didnt see a GT32R, but the GT30R, GT32, and GT35R all use a T3 flange.http://www.turbobygarrett.com/...1.htm

welcome to Nico I'm running a T3/T4 w/ .48 A/R exhaust housing currently. I'll probably end up upgrading to a GT35R before I'm done but the turbo spools fine and the car pulls strong through redline. It isnt ball bearing center cartridge, it just has a 360 degree thrust bearing and it came w/ my IAP Stage I turbo kit.

good luck w/ your project

just FYI, the R after a garret GT indicates the ball bearing CHRA. So GT32RBB is redundant. And IMHO, ball bearing center section is totally unnecesary. It only helps with transient response (rather than spool time) and it can't be rebuilt generally, and costs quite a bit. I'd go with just the 360 degree thrust bearing.

The BB turbo's and non-bb turbo's still use a thrust bearing, the thrust bearing is for another purpose entirely. But I agree with the BB turbo not being required.

Save that cash and buy a really nice alcohol injection kit instead. You'll thank me later if you do.
