hey all the names jerry,
The reason im writing to you all today is one to introduce myself, Hi, and two to see if theres anyone in the orlando area that would be willing to give me a hand to check over my s13 that i just acquired.... its a flat black coupe with the pignose front end.... i got it on a trade for my 91 accord coupe...

Welcome to NICO, Jerry.

I'll just go in a random order because I hate scrolling up and down.

That suspension arm that is rusted DEFIENTLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. It looks dangerous, it IS dangerous.

Most of the time, you are very lucky to find a S13 with a working HUD. I don't know the whole background as to possibly getting it working, but I'm sure someone will chime in soon.

Where is the white plug (with black thing) coming from? Driver side or passenger side? Or center area. It almost looks like a plug for a radio, lol.

Does the car have a check engine light, any obvious engine problems? If so, go ahead and post them up. And if your not able to find someone in the area, there are thousands of people around the world to help you here!

thank you for the warm welcome first off CRyan.

ok ill just order the godspeed rear lower control arm kit that i found...

Yeah im going to try replacing the wiring harness for the HUD see if that helps

the white plug with black thing is actually coming from under the steering column..

no CEL's when the car is on only when the switch is set to on position and not running. the only obvious problems i found where that theres a bolt missing from the VC, there are a few plugs unplugged, theres an exhaust leak, power steering leaks, a/c system has a line just floating, the radiator support is ghetto rigged on (previous owners crashed the front end and added a radiator support without knowledge of how to put it on), either then that the motor doesn't knock nor tick or make any sounds that are abnormal, the RPM's are at a steady 900 at idle and throttle response is good... not great but good... if i can find anything else ill let u know... thnx again

Watch out for GodSpeed's stuff. Some people have luck with it, but don't track the car if that is your purpose with it. Though it may look good, there are countless posts throughout NICO talking about how bad off some of these welds are. Just be careful with it.

As for that white plug, unless someone has had some real personal experience with it, you may need to just remove your dash and trace it down - Or maybe get yourself an FSM and see what it can inform you of. Speaking of FSM, here ya go.

check EL-52, see if it corresponds to any of those plugs - Is the dash in working order? All your lights, tachometer, speedometer, temp, oil, etc?

lol thnx guys the manual helped alot actually.....

so right after my last post i went outside to the car and followed the wire from the burnt fuse slot and realized that one burnt wire just led to 3 other burnt wires..... so i kept cutting the loom and realized i need the whole harness that runs through the firewall and up through the dash....

They specialize in swaps, and wiring in general. They can most likely get you a new dash harness, or point you to a reliable place to get one. They also do wiring repairs.

ohhh ok lol my bad.... yeah i might just rip of my dash and replace the whole harness including the fuse panel

I noticed it. Just didn't care enough to correct him on it. The wiring was more important to me.

isn't that one wire with the s*** half assed clear cover the diagnostics plug in?
