Ok first off im in the military and deployed at the moment so what i can do is somewhat limited but here goes

On my R and R in about a week i am going to pick up my first 240 its a 1995 240 SX SE. Which means Ka24de with Limited slip, power everything and 5 lug so thats a good start lol. Well the plans i have for this car is DD and little Drift since i am somewhat close to a track i think. Anyway the plans i have for it are a s13 Sr20det the blacktop one with an s15 turbo upgrade, also semibuildup of the motor. I have been on here for moths doing research looking at peoples build and all that. So far i have found a swap kit somewhat IE a new wiring harness that comes premade and all that. Also my suspension, question i have is the PBM(powered By Maxx) coilovers i have read they are decent for drifting have alot of work to do so the entire month i get home at the end of the deployment thats what i am gonna be doing. Just wanted to know what you guys think if its a decent start and all that. Oh and to all the poeple building up a 240 good luck i have seen some rough ones as far as stock and you guys do quality work on each and every one.

thanks or taking the time to read my post lol

why would you buy the car when you are gonna deploy again in a month. i would wait till you get back to the states for more than a month so you can enjoy the car and not let it sit and rot away. im a marine so i feel ur deployment pain...lol

^ They are SUPER stiff, but most will say they are some of the best on the market as far as value.

PBM is known for quality parts. I'd definitely take them over a set of megan, godspeed, etc....

What base are you stationed at state-side? I'm at the pit, er I mean Cherry Point... ;)

You've got a good starting plan, by the way. 95 means OBD1, meaning your SR won't have to be smog tested. Make sure when you start your swap, you post it in the SR forum. We could always use more traffic in there. :)

Nothing wrong with a car sitting, if it's stored properly... My S13 is now pushing 4 years of sitting, unless you count the 10 miles it's moved since I initially put my SR in it.

Car looks clean. Hopefully your taste in modifications will keep it that way. :dblthumb:

well some ideas i am throwing around are keeping the color of the car kinda like it. Replacing the aftermarket sunroof with a moon roof. Doing a s13 blacktop swap, with s15 turbo tucked harness and medium build. Cream and body color katskinz interior. Decent sound system nothing bigger than a pair of tens. Not sure but a possible front end conversion (Kokui) with oem parts. PBM coilovers and other suspension parts. Not sure on rims yet pro 17 or 18 not sure nothing crazy more of a silver color not quite crome. Sound alright so far?
