Hey all:) Been awhile again, have had 2 cars now (supra with 1jz, and sw21 3sgte mr2) sold both and now am back to my loved 240:D Soooo glad to see everyone is still here for the most part, and a lot of new people. Anyways just a little update and then the questions. So my 240 is running gehto fabulous as usual. No exhaust = cool on the track, but really crappy to my neighbors and of course for being noticed by the wrong people lol, so something I need to pick up. I'm not out to spend $500+ on a new one, anyone have recommendations? (i'm looking for at least a 4.5 to 5 inch tip, and must be ss) And my clutch is still good but I'm going to replace it shortly, I am thinking about going with Act, anyone have other suggestions?
So in the awesome gehettoness of my 240 I am actually running SR coils for those of you that thought it wasn't possible, it's my pegleg until I get some splitfires ordered, or some new standard coils. Yes they don't fit perfect, and yes never downshift too fast while using them, but they do in fact work as a crutch.(been using them for a month now). (I just happened to have them laying around because a friend gave them to me) And for the bit of crappy news, I had a friend help me with my 300zx brake swap. Everything came together beautifully..... So I was driving down the road about 2 days after the swap when all of a sudden my pass side front wheel jerks to a complete stop!!!!!! WTF????? Well apparently he had not screwed the top end securing bolt down so it fell out and my caliper was just swinging in the air by one bolt, had hit the wheel inside wall warped itself and now no longer holds brake fluid(I think the cylinders were severely damaged, and the boots were a little shredded) SO I have to go out and buy a new one! DOh  Ok so my first big question. I want to use a map sensor. I hate maf. So what is the easiest way to do this, and I don't want a stand alone, and I don't want to spend over $1,000 to accomplish this. And would I have to tap my intake manifold/throttlebody,? Any ideas? Thats all I want though and possibly some injector control for larger injectors at some point. And another point is I am not electrically inclined so if this system is super easy to wire up, or just plug and go that would be ideal....... Well thanks all!!!!

CXRacing exhaust. its Stainless Steel and has a 4" tip and has a very nice sound to it. also has a resonator to help keep it quiet. You can find them on eBay from sellers "just-intercoolers" and "etdmotors". i paid $120 for mine shipped and there isn't any rusting yet and I've had it for around 2 years now.

ACT or Spec are good clutch's. snatch one up and get it in there.

MAP is only obtainable through an standalone I believe. SDS and Megasquirt are the only two off the top of my head (there may be more) that do it.

hope this helps.

Cool man thanks for the advice. So anyone currently using a map setup? Care to share how you set it up? I had heard the emanage allows for a map setup not sure how this would work on the ca though.

You need to look into "VPC" for that option. I know you are sick of the AFM set-up- but if you had purchased a VPC, it still would need to be dyno-tuned.

Hey Dee:) Thanks for the reply, so when you say VPC are you talking about like the HKS Vein Pressure Controller(converter)?
Anyone have one they want to sell lol? Yes my ca is in pretty desperate need of a tune. On the plus side my new coils are here Tomorrow!!!!!! Ya!!! (Can put the sr coils back on the self for a rainy day). Another question, anyone done the coolant line simplification mod? I want to keep my stock turbo cooler lines, ditch the heater core lines, and get rid of any other un-necessary lines because even though I have brand new lines everywhere I'm still leaking like a sinking ship for some reason. I've checked all my hoses and connections. Looks like I have another leak coming for the idle control? May not be what it's called. The one thing that pisses me off is an overcomplicated cooling system and the ca has that. I like keeping things simple and functional. Anyone run a srt25 non liquid cooled and just oil cooled? Anyways thanks for all the feedback everyone :mike

Well after some contemplating and digging through some things on nico I'm going to use the emanage, looks like there is a great writeup on installing one on here, and I did infact find a 3 bar map sensor that emanage uses. So I guess tapping into the intake manifold or the throttle body would be the way to go? And then doing some tuning for sure:) Dee I think I remember seeing an old post where you had even done away with the CAS???
