I'm doing a research paper for school where I have to find 2 common malfunctions on a specific type of automatic transmission. I decided to do an 03-04 350z, since I recall they had problems with them? but I am not certian with that fact. If anyone could provide me with a A/T model number and if they can shed any light to this, It would be greatly appreciatied

There has not been any problems at all with the automatic transmission. No Technical Service Bulletins have been issued on the 5SAT.

03-04 had suspension problems (camber/toe) on some of the cars...but never heard of a/t problems.

Go with mid to late 90's jeep auto transmission's. All kinds of stuff failed with them.

Chryslar had the electronic four speed trans in their Dodge Caravan that developed a bump shift. You would come to a complete stop, the valve body would'nt completely unload for a couple of seconds. It would "bump" to first. Felt like the van just got rear-ended.
