hesitation with my 240sx

my 89 240sx feels like its pulling back when i'm driving, the ideal rpms drop way down to almost a stall and dirty exhaust comes out the back. i have had this problem on and off for the last month and a series of repairs temporarily made the car run better. i changed the coolant temp sensor (ecu error code), the fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, distributor cap (cracked and corroded at coil wire),rotor and 02 sensor. also, i've been adding fuel system cleaner from time to time which seems to help the car run a little better for awhile. is there anything else i should look at?

OMG dude did you paint herbie the love bug stripes on your 240???

When you replaced the coolant temp sensor did you clean and tighten the female terminals in the connector. They tend to get corroded and loose on the terminals causing an overly rich condition. Something else you could do is check your base idle and timing.
