I just pulled my car out last weekend and there's been a little problem ever since I parked it last summer. Whenever I put it under WOT, at around 5k RPM the motor hesitates for a split second, goes and hesitates all the way up to redline.

It ran awesome last year up until the last few days of summer. As far as I can remember, the only things I have changed were the MAF and spark plugs. I have the spark plugs gapped to 0.0026" and the car was running great after the new MAF and plugs were put in.

Tomorrow, I'm going to try and switch out the MAF back to the old one, recheck the spark plug gap and datalog to find the issue. Any other ideas I should look into?

I'm starting to wonder if my fuel pressure is consistent throughout the powerband. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

not saying that this is what it is but it very well could be your knock sensor pulling timing....I used to have a similar issue...never during the winter but as it warms up it used to do it...relocate your knock sensor or try another one if you can...again just a suggestion if nothing else works for you

hmmm... never thought about that possibility, almost sounds like that could be the culprit. Will give it a shot if all else fails.

Pulled out the knock sensor today, physically it look fine along with the wiring. I replaced it anyway with a new one. Fingers crossed, I hope this is it. Going to replace fuel filter tomorrow, its about 2 years old now.
