Ok ...here is my problem. My car likes to buck/hesitate in the lower rpms right up untill boost.( it may even be hesitating durring boost but I cant really tell) This as you can imagian is ver agravating. It has done this since the swap was done.

So far, here is the list of things I am going to check tomarrow if i have the time. If anyone can think of anything else to check for PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!!!I WANT THIS FIXED..I want nothing more then to finally enjoy my new sr.

1) Timing2) TPS3) Fuel pressure regulator4) 02 sensor5) Faulty MAF

To correct this issue I have done the following:1) Changed the spark plugs2) New intake3) New fuel filter4) walbro 255 fuel pump5) Oil change

Any suggestions are more then welcome...Thanks in advance,DJ

It looks like you've got most of the things that people would say on that list. First thing I always think of when I hear about a car bucking / hesitating is the MAF, timing, or fuel.

i had the same problem. it ended up being a bunch of tiny vacuum/boost leaks.

I should also mention that the ecu was smoking when the car was first started. Some ac lines were touching metal....I am reluctantly posting this because I dont want people to just automaticly say thats the problem. That would be the ez way out. we followed what the blown transister went too and came up with nothing important, so I highly doubt that is the issue at hand...

Nismo:How do I check for vacume leaks? Just replace all the hoses and see if that works?

boost leak probably... my sr ran like absolute doo in my first 240, but when i put the same exact setup, engine and everything, into a different 240 that engine ran like a dream... so maybe a wire or connector is loose or something random...

99% sure its a cracked WMIC - unless you have a FMIC.

Extremely common problem - pretty much guaranteed with older WMICs

ok, then how do i check for boost leak...I have all the stock pipe and sidemount intercooler. Everything seems tight. I have good clamps holding everything together.....Im going to hook up my boost gauge tomorrow to see if I am even getting full boost. Is this a good hose to run my boost gauge off of?

yes that wire is fine. However if you are goign to run a boost controller, be sure that the signal is somewhere on the hotpipe and as close as to the turbo as possible and not T off to anything else

Your problem like he said is you intercooler leaking, I just got done fixing mine and the side of my SMIC was tearing away from the center, I hammered it back shut as much as I could and my car seemed 5 times faster. Old SMIC' suck!!

oh yea i almost for got, my sr was acting like that for the longest time and every one said boost leak boost leak... well i searched and searched and no go... well one day i was just looking around to see what the problem was and i looked at the first coupler comming off of the turbo. it was all black and charred and leaking a lot of boost... well i about **** my pants when i figured out what it was so i ran down to the autoparts store and got some aftermarket radiator hose and put it on there... well needless to say my hands were shaking after i drove it bc it was so much faster... come to find out it was my turbo getting too hot bc of bad bearings that heated up the coupler... got the turbo rebuilt and never had that problem again...
