Okay guys....sooo I bought a 93 coupe about 2 months ago...it had slight hesitation but it was nothing bad...anyways I let it get worse to the point where it would hesitate on start and would just die. so I said its now time to fix this.....I was going to just put in a new engine but I said to my self that if its not the engine i am in the same hole with with a different shuvell....soooo I decided to change the MAF sensor...fixed the problem when it dies on startup...but the boggle and hesitation was still there...I then cleaned out my throttle bottle...fixed it a little bit...then changed the fuelfilter and small leak in the fuel line....nothing to noticable...sooo I cant think of anyone but a clogged CAT....and It doesn't feel like it could be...when I am soft on the throttle the car runs fine..but when I try to accelerate it just doesn't want to go and the engine makes a deeep sound like a clog or leak........I dont know what else to do!!!

also...I forgot to metion that I changed the cap and rotor...not the lines "I know!"...but they looked perfectly new to me...but one thing that really scared me is that when I changed the spark plugs...spark plug 3 and 4...had oil all over them...could I have blow a piston ring or something...I dont know what it is!!..guys help I need to fix this!

If you have oil on your plugs that could be your valve cover gasket. the deep sound your talken' bout sounds familiar to me, I dubble clutch tha bad boy and it gets goen'. I dunno what it could be tho.

When I had a bad spark plug wire on cyl. 3 it caused a weak spark that made the engine misfire only under heavy throttle. Light throttle and below around 3k RPM's it would run perfectly. If theres oil on the tops of plugs that may be causing a weak spark. I would try changing the valve cover gasket, cleaning up all the oil and changing the plug wires.

its not your valve cover gasket it the other one that sits in and around your spark plus the one with the four holes gasket take off your valve cover and replace both gaskets. that wil fix the oil leak on your spark plugs witch is probally your prob.
