Last week when I started my car it was hesitating to start,so I took it to a mechanic and he tested my battery that was goog, then hooked it up to the diagnostic machine which said that I needed a O2 sensor.Sensor 1 Bank 1. Eventually my car got to the point where is was hesitating even more to start finally not starting at all. I took it back to him he replaced the O2 sensor and battery. Now the car is cranking without hesitation but then cuts off. My dash board lights come on breifly then go off. I dont know what to so next?????

If the car is still under warranty then have Infiniti fix it (easiest way). Otherwise if you can find someone with a scanner who can pull the codes we can look them up to see what needs to be done.

With the issues it could be anything (MAF, ECU, fuel pump, etc). The only way to really know what the engine is stumbling on is to pull the codes.

Be careful who you get to pull the codes. I've had autozone & advance lead me down the wrong path!!!! Then, went to Nissan and got them to tell me exactly what part failed.Same thing with my cobra. Have learnt my lesson. Good luck!!

He could pull his own codes and then look them up. I have watched Infiniti locally go down the wrong path here as well. While I would not necessarily fix based on what I pulled I would question if they come up with something different. Pulling your own is actually very easy and can be very cheap as long as you are not looking for a large feature set. Most of the inexpensive ones I looked at seem to work fine giving you what codes you have but will not tell you what they are, hence looking at an online table.
