I have a base 2004 G35 coupe. It has roughly 58k miles. Occasionally, when I try to accelerate, the car "hesitates" before doing so. It is nothing that is too disturbing, but very subtle. What could be causing this? Is it the throttle body? Could it be spark plug related? Any help is much appreciated.

No codes so I doubt it is throttle body.

You might try changing your plugs at 69k miles 3 out of my 6 were well out of range and I had a slight stumble at light acceleration.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll likely replace the plugs when it warms up a bit. The air filter probably needs replaced also. I don't think replacing the filter will help as it looks fairly clean (has about 10k miles on it).

Also, could it be fuel filter related? Would a fuel system cleaner possibly help? If so, what brands are best to use?

Fuel filters are pretty good on these cars...not sure if it's a part of the 60k maintenance or not. I would not use any additives in the car...they do more harm than good.

If it still has the problem, report to Infiniti when you do you 60k.

I''ve heard good things about Lucas and have used it.
