Hesitant 240, need help.

I'm having some problems with my 240. It seems very, very hesitant, and really doesn't wanna rev at all. I don't know what's wrong with it. When i popped the hood the exhaust manifold was glowing hot. I haven't even been beating on my car lately. I would like some help as to what it may be.

timing is off like wow my friend, check it out, and then make sure the mafs is ok

Check your cat. Clogged cat may lead to that.

Mine does that after about an hour's worth of driving... my injectors are also leaking so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.

Have you replaced the injectors on your 89 lately? The SOHC ones are leaky bastards.
