I just did a tune up on my car, a 1992 Sentra SE-R, new plugs, new wires, new cap and rotor. Cleaned out the intake manifold with some stuff that goes through a vaccum line. Did a oil change. Nothing out of the norm.

Now, it is acting up. It is hesitating in 1st and 2nd gear. Some stumbles in 3rd and 4th, but mainly in 1 and 2.

Does anyone know what i can try to fix it, what it might be, any ideas at all?

I am really gettin pissed at it, so mad, i dont want to drive it, and for me not to drive the SE-R, thats nuts.

But thanks for any info, even it if dont help, i thank you for giving me your 2cents to try to fix it._________________

That sounds like an air issue, any trouble with idling?

Hmmm... throttle position sensor is the only thing that immediately comes to mind.

How would that get messed up from anything i did? I put some stuff in there to clean out the intake manifold, then i cleared out my cat cuz it was clogged. I also put stuff in the gas tank, so thinkin it did its job, i replaced he fuel filter.

Whenever i let off the gas, i get a 'crackeling' sound going through my exhaust.

The crackling is common in any car, it's just a little backpressure when you let off the throttle, no big deal.

It may not have been messed up by what you did, though it's possible that cleaner you ran through got on the sensor somehow.

Like I said on IM. I'm trying to think of anything related to acceleration based on what I can discern from your posts. Without seeing the car, it's harder to tell.

I still doubt the sound is related, it probably just wasn't noticed til you had this issue.

Any luck on the TPS? I haven't had a chance to download the B13 manual and look for the info yet.

Hmm... I suppose it's possible that the sound and problem are connected, but I'm not sure how.

Anyway, TPS should read .4v to 4v depending on position. See where it is at idle and at full open and if those two numbers are .4ish and 4ish.

Well i am still having trouble with my car. Come to find out, my buddy says the cracking noise is like a back fire, but it is right around the header. So he is thinkin, if it is like a Honda, then something to do with ignition. But i had my timing adjusted a while back, didnt help. I took all the **** off the front of the motor. PLEASE help. getting real tired of it. Tired lots of things.

Exhaust manifold gasket maybe shot or the header is cracked. The Gen I hotshot headers used to have this problem.

Most of the problem fixed when i finally replaced my o2 sensor. Still have very little hesitating in 1st when it is cold.
