ok I'm new to the 240's and love em, I live in cali and need to know whats legal and what the possibilities are for me. Is the ca18det legal to swap in a 95 240sx?whats the deal on aftermarket tubos? what can I do w/ the KA, should I keep the Ka? whats the most I can get out of the ka and the Ca(TOP performance, most hp etc)? and anything else ya think I should know...ps take it easy on me, I know im a newb but we all gotta start somewhere oh and the sr20 is not an option

But anyway.Any engine of the same year as the chassis or NEWER is legal as long as you transplant EVERYTHING. This includes all the smog equipment.No turbo kit is Ca legal. Greddy keeps talking about it, but going on three years now means they are just blowing smoke up our collective a$$es.There are a few CARB legal speed parts for the KA. Namely headers and cold air intake. Thats about it.Never ask how much power an engine can make. It shows vast ignorance since any engine can be made to make big numbers. Its merely a matter of money. Define your needs/wants first, and be very clear about your budget. Only then can you make an estimate on your potential power target.
