there are 4 wires coming off the mirror.

tie the black and green together, thats the ground. to be tied into the map light ground(black).

tie the red and blue together, thats the switched power. to be run down to a switcted power source. the easiest one is the illumination fuse in the fuse panel. use a small screwdriver to push the wire in, then replace the fuse. or if you have any of the wires that the cell phone used, they will have the proper piece of metal to push into the fuse bay.

the pictures wil make up for my lack of brain power. sorry about the size of them, im to lazy to resize!

hope this is a helpful on this mod install

As long as the mirror gets power it should be able to do what it was built for.

I have never seen my auto-dim in action... It could be because my sub blew the shiz out of my mirror though.

How did the sub blow the mirror and are you sure you didn't blow up anything else?

My mirror is loose. On hot days it can easily shake out of its place. At night it sticks to its position though.

My subwoofer shook the mirror to near-death. But its okay, I think it just needs tightening.

I have a 15" square subwoofer with an 80+lbs box. Suprisingly the G50 is a well made vehicle. Still no interior rattles. Everyone listens to rattle as they play their beat, cept me.

Don't worry! Hearing damage is progressive, so soon you won't be able to hear the rattles either.

So back to the mirror, are the wires jsut hanging out, or are they rerouted to be hidden?

Correction to the above wiring suggestions. The black is the only one needed for ground. The green is just for the dimmer. Not needed unless you want the "Day" and "Auto" to dim with the dimmer knob.

The red and and blue both need to be powered to get the mirror operate. Normally the red is powered by the ignition switch and the blue by the parking light circuit. You can wire to a switch or wire into the parking light circuit so they always work when you turn on the lights. I'd fuse them with a 5 amp fuse to be safe.

Not sure what I did but before this research my auto dimming mirror did not work and after I've been messing with it to decipher the wiring it's started working. I think it was when I pulled off the cover around the "Day" and "Auto" buttons.
