ok i have a gladman performace manifold but it has no external wastegate flange. i talked to jordan today and he said i should just remove the flapper assembly completely and just use the 5 bolt steel flange that i have and cut a hole for the flapper port. then weld an elbo off the 5 bolt flange and weld on a tail external WG flange. does this sould possible with out any problems? anyone done this before? i have a flange like this that bolts on the back of my turbo. http://www.atpturbo.com/Mercha...e=FLS

Never seen that before, but in theory (all I know) it shouldnt be too bad. Obviously, putting the WG pipe near the turbo inlet is better, but this doesnt look too restrictive or ask to exhaust gas to make any crazy bends. It basically mimics an internal WG.

Its pretty much what boost designs did on their "new" design. I believe they sell flanges that already have that hole cut out for the wastegate, but you could make it yourself if you want.

Just make sure when it goes back into yer exhaust at a good angle down the line... Or you might get boost creep.
