I have converted over to HID w/Ballast running 6000K.. now this migth be a simple yes or no answer... but is it possible to switch over to 4500k bulbs with the same ballast... dont know if the ballast run specific to the bulb temp....

The 6000K was too blue, huh? I think 5000K is the perfect color. Looks factory and gives off tons of light, unlike that irritating 7000K blue crap!

Yep you can use a different bulb with the same ballast. All you need to do is make sure to purchase a bulb that corresponds in the wattage on the ballast. Should be either 35w or 50w. Chances are its 35w.

lol!! actually, i love the 6000k on my coupe but i just bought a set for my girlfriend and you know how females can b (Opps!)... just want to be able to switch her HID's on her Altima Sadan in case she thinks theyre too blue and dislikes them. Thanks for the info though, very much appreciated.

Yea, 6000k is to bright and to blue-ish. Two people already flashed their brights at me on the road. Wish i just got the 5300k...

I never had anyone do that to me. Mine seem to be just right I guess. Either that or mine are aimed just right to avoid blinding people. Plus light with a slight bluish is more like natural sunlight (sunlight at midday has a K temp of anywhere between 5500-6000k for you light gurus), which is why I kinda joke that I turn on the sun when I turn on my headlights.
