Nissan cranks turn clockwise right? Now is that from the front of the engine or the back of the engine haha cause obviously its reversed depending on which end of the engine your looking at.

Yes, they rotate clockwise when looking from the front of the engine. As a matter of fact, I think all engines from all manufacturers rotate clockwise with the exception of Honda.

Interestingly enough, the S2000's F20 engine was the first honda engine to turn clockwise. I think this was due to the FR layout and Honda's desire to use gearboxes and differentials from powertrain suppliers.

I think old saabs were backwards too.

Yeah it was the honda thing that made me ask the question in the first place. I was thinking most would rotate the same way otherwise you'd have some fun putting in the wrong gear box haha, can go backwards very fast.

the old saab 900's were mounted longitudally with the belts facing the firewall...clockwise engines tho.bizzare as hell but my first car was a saab 1983 900 turbo...was in great nic and i learned so much from that car.
