s13 w/ the cA18det..... so i was pushing my car a little too hard and when i got off the throttle it was misfiring bad. i figured it was ust plugs cuz i fouled them out before. there was about 2k on the ngk plugs. now there are new pulgs in. the misfiring is still happening. i had no time tonight to mess w/ the car so im taking it to work tomarrow and wanted to get a second opinion on what it could be. i did do my resherch and stuff and well i know what im going to do tomarrow. i am leaking coolant and have been for some time so it could be a HG. so im going to try to do a compression test first but any other thoughts?

Run the car and pop the rad cap. If there's bubbles floating up to the top with the smell of exhaust you've got yourself a blown headgasket.

But what is "a little too hard," exactly? Like bouncing off the rev limiter or what?

its bad compression. cyl. 1 was 145, 2 135, 3 130, and 4 45. at this point im just going to take stuff apart and do a rebuild on the whole motor

Pushing the stock CA at W.O.T. too long with stock fuel management system and increased boost pressures and possibly having your car not timed correctly will almost always results in a melted piston on the intake side of the piston aka "DETONATION" . A smart kid would pull the engine out of the car and inspect all four pistons because you may have cracked them all (it don't take much). No more questions, just take it apart and let us know what you find because clearly something is wrong. Good luck.......

i'd tear it down, as its going to need to be fixed. who knows, it could be something less than you expect, but expect the worse, so you are not disappointed.
