For about 6 months now, my poor S13 has been laid up in the garage: no engine, no wiring harness, no parts, and most importantly - no money to do anything about it. I've tossed around a million ideas of what to do with the thing over this period, all of which dead end with the fact that I pretty much cant afford to make any improvements right now.

The answer to my problem? A donor car!!

My buddy Will (SuperDorifto here on the forums) had this S13 as his daily driver-- its a real POS with a badly rusted frame, but everything else is pretty good on it. Will recently got a new car, so this S13 is goin to the chopping block. I'm taking the engine, throwing it in my black S13 (turbocharge it later), and the red S13 is getting completely parted out.

It feels really good to get back into the garage and working on the S13 again-- finally I've got something to do and I'll actually be able to drive my S13 again.

Sooo thats what we're up to. Anyone interested in parts on the red S13, please feel free to ask- the whole car is getting chopped up. I'm taking the engine and wiring harness, Will needs a few parts, but there is still a lot available. Feel free to ask!

BTW: the turbo project, happening once I get this car running stock again, will be most likely a stock rebuilt engine on 10-12psi, 300ish rwhp car. Emanage ultimate, T3/T04E, homemade methanol injection. I want something thats not super expensive (like my last car), but also somewhat reliable and quick-ish. Should be fun!

Do you have the 5-sp flex plate that goes between the transmission/engine?

Thanks guys!!

We got a TON of work done on the car today. Pulled the motor completely out, got it on the stand with the transmission off and stripped the rest of the car down pretty far.

Less talk though, more pics:

Theres more than one way to skin a cat.. and just like you can remove a motor from a car, you can also remove a car from a motor (notice the absence of a few metal parts...)

The angle grinder always comes in handy for those "I think I'm tough" bolts.

The motor came out soon after:

...And we didnt even make that big of a mess!

Here's Will, in his "ME > DASHBOARD" stance:

The 240sx sure is roomy in there without all that dash stuff taking up space!

In the process of unbolting everything in sight:

All done! Motor on the stand ready for stripping!

More to come when we work on it again tomorrow. It feels GREAT to get back in the garage!

EDIT: btw as you can see there are LOTS of parts available. Email will (his address is above- username "superdorifto")

Driver's door panel & Headliner? could probably use the rear end too. And center console with boot.

The drivers door panel is available. The rear end isnt (wouldnt want to ship it anyways), and the car is an auto so I dont think the center console would be useful to you. Email Will ("superdorifto" - his email is above), I'm sure he'll work out a good price for ya.
