You have got to be kidding me!!! I would tell her to go f*** herself and to get the hell out of my house. Then I'd call the law on her and have her arrested. Child-of-my-body or not, don't care. Of course, I would never let it escalate that far anyway. A kid doesn't go to playing from Barbies to playing with guns overnight. I would bet she started being a colossal disrespectful a** a long time ago and her mom just let her get away with it.

Mom didn't either see, or pay attention to, some pretty obvious signs. Apparently the kid is (was?) a good student, I wonder how that Ivy League thing is going to turn out now. Could be that the mom just took good school performance as evidence enough that the kid was good without getting truly involved and engaged with her child.

When I was 18 and looking for my 3rd car (1990 Toyota Truck and 1993 Cavalier RS) I found a 1969 Camaro RS for $5000, I had $3000 and parents would not co-sign on the loan so I ended up with a $3000 1965 CJ-5 Jeep instead. It never occured to me that I could us a pistol to force my parents to help me get the Camaro? Oh well ya live and ya learn, maybe.

Hello. I am the voice of reason. I am here to explain this whole debacle. Central Florida is a place known to accommodate a large percent of the State's elderly. The small percentage young adults and children are slowly being driven crazy the elderly-oriented region. The end.
