About a month back or so I got my car running and was very happy. Then of coarse came all the problems along with it. Go figure, huh? So whatever, took care of the air leaks, coolant leaks, transmission problem, etc. Luckily all them things were pretty easy to tackle on. Yay for that. The problem right now is that whenever I press the gas to about 70%+ or at WOT it bogs out! I changed my plugs to brand new ones and regapped them. I even got the MAF cleaner hoping it would help. Nahh... Didn't help. Pshh.

Heres the vids. Check it out yourself.

Now I have a feeling my timing is off but I don't exactly know how to hook it up on my car. Someone that done it, help?

------------------

Here's as she stands right now ready to be driven right after my stupid problem Im having!

Thanks guys!!

telling you man, air leak in the charge pipes.you need to pressure test it.set the cas in the middle of the slots that will get it close to proper timing.and please fill up the ps resivor or fix whatever is screeching, sounds terrible.

For the timing, all you need is an inductive timing light. Borrow it from Checker's or where ever (just buy one.) Hook it up to your #1 cylinder coil pack signal wire and point the light at at the crank pulley. Rotate the CAS to is set the base timing to 15 degrees or the third mark from the orange one. You do this with the throttle position sensor unplugged. My CAS is way off to one side, but I haven't quite figured out the reasoning behind that. Still working some bugs out.

Carl is right on with the noise. What is that whining? Did you overtighten the timing belt? Make sure you follow the FSM to the exact wording on that. Don't want it too tight or too loose.

Yea I own a timing light but when I tried hooking it up I couldn't figure out how to work it since nothing happend. I'll try soon though and let you all know.

I'll check the noise out when I start the car again.

Thanks guys.

I know exactly whats wrong with it. Just need swap some wires from the tps. But heres a vid one of the plugs unplugged which made it drive with no problems besides making it feel NA lol.

Both my friends are in the car. Ones driving and ones recording. Im just sitting on the grass watching it go.

Who's the guy that can't drive stick?!

So gauges no worky? And you are clearly not recirculating your BOV, right?

Yea the vid is funny. Especially when he says " Yea yea this is fuking nice man" I got a nice kick out of that. Im also running no power steering so its not really that easy lol. And my downpipe hits the steering rack just slightly so I have to get that fixed through AM Performance.

Why do you think he can't drive stick? Cause the car stalled when he pulled out of the driveway? Eh, new clutch its a ***** right now and the way I have it setup is its either you press the clutch or you dont. I like it that way.

As for gauges, nah for some reason my speedo dont work which it did before for some reason and now it doesnt. My tach never worked but Ima have to send the tach out to Carl H. for that. Yea the bov isn't recirculated and it works fine. I believe only on a stock one its suppose to be which is why my **** idled high.

Im not worried. Like I said before the clutch is still brand new and pretty stiff so it does take time to get used to it. I myself stalled several times cause the way its setup. But now Im used to it and I love it.

Did you wire your VSS to the speedo wire going to the gauges? If you didn't do it, then it won't read speed. As for tach, yeah Carl will take care of ya.

I just said he couldn't drive stick well because he stalled it and was giving it a lot of gas prior to releasing the pedal. It took me a while to get used to my clutch too.

Can someone explain why some people have major issues when venting the BOV to atmosphere and others can run it with seemingly no ill effects?
