This link is in another thread, but I figured I'd bring it to head just so it's seen better.

Below is a link to a printable template you can use to make your own speak plate adaptors. There is also provisions for a 6.5" Infinity component speaker, but I suggest you locate your own hole(tehehe).

Anyways, I hope others will download this and archive it somewhere, because right now it's hosted off my buddies server(and it comes and goes). Also, you'll need Adobe Acrobat to view, and it will print onto 8.5x11(turn off page scalling though!). Use the ruler in the PDF to verify scaling.

Don't think that your posts have gone unnoticed. Not too many people visit this forum.

Thanks for the PDF. I asked if anyone could make one a long time ago since I didn't have stock speaker plates to begin with. It never happened so I bought some used ones off a member and traced my own. They didn't come out as clean as yours, so I'm going to definitely make another pair using your pdf when I upgrade my speakers.

Thanks, that[inactivity) doesn't discourage me though. I just like to throw the information out there, in case someone needs it in the future. I've used tons of information from NICO, so it feels good to give back a bit.

Glad I could help.'slip

SWEET GOOD JOB MAN! I don't need it personally cuz I run components, but that is VERY COOL!

I say instead of linking it there, save the pdf into like a large .png or .jpg or something and upload to your nico account, that way, it will be here in the future.

i just checked something. If you can't upload to your nico photo account, you can attach the pdf directly here - if that keeps the aspect ratio print out correct or whatnot.

Well the nice thing about PDF is it is designed for printing: portable document format. So no matter what computer, operating system, viewer, etc, it still prints out the same.

The problem with NICO image hosting is it is not a .jpg/jpeg/gif/bmp/tiff image file. Also it is rather large, ~700kB, so I couldn't attach it here.

BTW you said you run components: that's what that adaptor plate was for, the 6.5" woofer/mid, not a coax. Or do you run 3-seperates?

In regards to components, I have a 4" component & a tweeter on my plate (I know the tweeter is a lil low, it's part of a larger system). So it's like a custom 4x6, hehe.

Damn, you need to make that pdf a teeny bit smaller, haha.

Gotcha, that's what I thought you meant re: the components. Adobe Pro was being a PITA at the time, so I just printed-to-pdf... the reason the pdf is so large is the originating jpg image was large.

I just checked it, and I could download it. The server hosting it is a little sporatic. If you continue to have trouble, email me and I'll send it to you. Make sure to do a file-save as, because the file is quite large(for those on 56k).slip0n0fall at gmail.com

This is going to sound pathetic, but what are you guys making your template out of? Trying to come up with a solution to get 5.5" in my gf's door.

I used plexi for mine because I had a sheet laying around that I "found" outside Circuit City, but I've seen/heard of people using fiberboard, rubber-sprayed sheetmetal (to reduce vibrations), and more.
