here is his quote"Finally met my goal of a 200rwhp Normally Aspirated KA24. It took ALOT of time and R&D. MANY disapointing nights and headscratching went on. It still doesnt have the powerband i want but i figured you guys would appreciate the info.

KA stock bore setupSOHC pistons w/new rings/bearings46mm GSXR1300 ITB'sCustom velocity stacksCustom 4-1 Header Crower V3's Crower Spring/Ret kitJWT cam gearsPorted, and shaved head4 puck disc with stock pressure plateAEM EMS

I learned so much from this project which was the main reason i started it. It wasnt about price, it wasnt about labor, it wasnt about anything more than wanting to learn how to really make power. Any monkey with a language can bolt up a turbo kit and make power.

I have some plans to make changes and hopefully make more power. The bottom end is about done. I think ive worn it out during testing. Its spraying blowby gasses out of the valvecover like it was making 500hp. So i plan to actually build a bottom end worth a damn. whatever biggest bore i can find. Spend a LITTLE bit more time and attention to detail in the port job. Definately going to be doing some header building/testing.

The pictures below are very similar to the current state, but it was making about 175 in these pics. Now its in a new chassis with a different set of ITB's and staged injection. I'll try to get new pics asap.

Please ENJOY."

Linking to threads is competing forums isn't allowed. And this was news in 2007. Good try though.

Well, I suppose for there to be "proof" there would have to be a third party verifying the result.

As it stands the thread proves that if it is possible, its a waste of time for 99.99% of people with a ka. The amount of $$$ and effort would probably have produced a 400 whp turbo ka.

Nobody said it was impossible to make 200hp on a N/A KA.It's been done before, but it would be more cost effective to make that power via turbo.

pointless..not to me, alot of cash..i am certain. i feel there is a way to do this on a street car and it still be reliable.....anyway, oh well another pointless post about the elusive n/a ka..

Seems like alot to go through just to hit the 200 mark IMO... whats anyone got against Forced induction? Run a modest amount of boost and you can get the power with reliability... no issues there with me.

That 200 mark was hit with race gas. The real mind-bender is to hit the mark on pump gas. Some people just don't get off on turbos. Let it be.
