2 days ago my starter would not engage unless I smacked it with a hammer, then this morning it spun but the Bendix did not engage. So I took it out and went and got a new one. Got it installed and before reapplying the wire ties I had cut and button everything up I decided to try it. Starter turned motor over great, but car did not start.

I started checking everything I could think of, retracing everything I did to see what I could have messed up. Pulled plug to check for spark, even checked to see if I had jumped time. I could not figure out what it could possibly be, it was not even trying to start! I ended up running the battery low, not dead but low so I decided to put the charger on it and finish putting wire ties on and tire back on, take it off the jack stand.

Once I was done, for the heck of it I tried it again. This time after a couple cranks it tried to start. I let it sit for a min. and tried it again and it fired right up running as smooth as it ever did. The only thing I can figure is that because I had it jacked up so high on the passenger side that for some reason it was not getting gas even though I had 3/4 tank. Does this make sense???????
