Here I am, also

While the Patrol was imported to the US in limited numbers, it was much more prevalent worldwide!

Mild Bill here... Like Riverpatrol, new here. Unlike River, I own less than 20 Patrols. :chuckle: I'm a former Cali native, now a common-law Okie near Tulsa.
I'm restoring while driving a stock "1968 sold as 69" that I observed in a field for many years. I'm also parting out a 1969.
I'm still driving the first vehicle I ever bought. (in 1973) Its a 1964 L320. I shall probably become active here on the 320 forum.
Over the years, my family has owned 510's, 520's, 280Z, 311.
My Patrol-Specific knowledge is limited, (ask Riverpatrol all that stuff) but I've been wrenching on cars, trucks, lawnmowers, motorcycles, airplanes etc for 45+years and enjoy mechanical and electrical stuff.
Any other Patrols in Oklahoma???

You have a picture of the tranny drain plug in your 69? I cant seem to find one anywhere.

The tranny and transfer case each have a pipe-thread plug on their lower right sides.

Be aware that the so called pipe threaded drain plugs may well be a straight threaded "SAE Semifinished" not pipe thread. Yes, early Datsuns were occasionally SAE, but semi-finished is not in keeping with truth in advertising. The oil drain plug in my 1967 RL411 was one of these odd ball threads. I stripped the helicoil in my aluminum oil pan and had to drill out, buy a Ford 18 millimeter spark plug head repair kit [the Ford version has a flat surface, all others are tapered and will be a disaster], tap and seal per the kit, and buy a Toyota 18 millimeter drain plug. Perfect repair, or mod if you can't find the proper original unit. Good luck !
